Privacy

Updated: October 5, 2026

In short: Moireloop collects no personal data. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.

What the app does

Moireloop plays videos as your desktop wallpaper. Your settings, favourites and imported videos stay on your Mac, inside the app's private container. They are never sent to us.

Downloading wallpapers

Wallpapers are downloaded from our online storage. As with any web page, that server technically sees the IP address requesting the file; we don't use it to identify you or combine it with anything.

Music mode (optional, off by default)

If you turn it on, Moireloop reads the title and artist that Spotify or Apple Music announce on your Mac, to fetch the album art from Spotify or Apple (just like their own apps do). Nothing else is sent, nothing is stored.

Purchases

Any purchases (wallpaper packs) are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your name or payment method. See Apple's privacy policy.
